Well, after about two months of studying I took and passed the CEHv5 on 3/20. My study plan included reading the official CEH book by Graves. I found it very over simplified. No real depth into any of the topics, but an easy read none the less. I also reviewed the Career Academy CBT which was a good series. There are walk throughs for some of the older material you may not want to bother going through yourself. Solid instructor. I previewed the CBT Nuggets, but was not impressed with his unethical jokes/comments/stories. He sounded like a used car salesman. After that I went to the Exam Prep by Gregg. I wish I would have used this book first. I could have skipped the official CEH all together. I loved the Exam Prep book. It was well organized and laid everything out in a clear way. I wish I would have read the crypto chapter while preparing for the CISSP. While it did not have as much depth as the CISSP material, it laid the ground work very well.
I also tried to use the free CCURE practice test, but I think there is more than 19 questions on the exam. (No offense to Clement and his admins, they do a wonderful job with all their sites) I did find a good review site at http://samsclass.info/124/flashcards/index.html.
I did not do as well on the test as I would have hoped. I really crashed towards the end of the test and just wanted it to be over. I was tired and my blood sugar dropped. I was confident that I got enough right before the crash.
All in all, I enjoyed reviewing the material and learning more about the ethical hacking process. Would I go futher and go for LPT? Only if my job required me. For now I will look towards GCIH, which more directly relates to my job now.

Good day Unsupported,
I love your handle.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience.
You are correct the quiz has very little question on the CEH right now but more for the ECSA. This is something we have to work on over the next twelve months.
Thanks for the details on the different study packages that you made use of, it is really interesting. I am glad you liked the Exam Cram book, I was the technical editor for that one
Clement, How would one go about helping develop questions for the CEH practice tests? I have passed my CISSP and I am working towards the CEH certification. Would you want someone to have passed the CEH before assisting in writing exam practice questions? The reason I ask this is that I was told one time that by teaching the material that you are learning helps you learn and retain it better.
